Playoff Pick

We are going to go with the Mavericks of Dallas today. Vegas currently has them as a 4 point favorite. With home court advantage and a younger and more determined team, we feel that Dallas has the upper hand in this matchup. The Mavs ended the season strong and made key acquisitions in Brendan Haywood and Caron Butler mid-season. The Spurs are getting much older and Tim Duncan is not the same player he was earlier in his career. Mark Cuban and the Mavericks are eying a championship run. If they can handle the Spurs in 4 or 5 games they could get some much needed rest before playing the Suns presumably.

Cornell Vs. Kentucky

Does Cornell have a chance at beating the young Kentucky Wildcats? In short....yes they do. Cornell will look to slow the game down and ride their hot three-point shooting past the Wildcats tonight as they tip off at 10pm EST.

UK likes to keep the game fast paced with their young freshman trio in Bledsoe, Cousins and John Wall. If Cornell can slow them down and knock down a good percentage of their shots, they can really keep this game within reach. These kids aren't just smart, but can play ball as they are showing the nation.

The lack of experience that Kentucky has will really be tested this game. John Wall's dance and UK's cockiness will be the downfall in this team.

Play of the Day

Play On: Xavier Musketeers +4.5

We like the Muskees to win this game outright. However, for betting purposes and to prevent anyone from sending us any hate mail we will go with the 4.5 points given to us.

Xavier lost to K-State earlier in year on the road by 15. This game was plagued by turnovers and pour shooting from Xavier and star, Jordan Crawford (yes, he dunked on LeBron). Xavier is a much better team than they were since the last time these two teams met. They are the only A-10 team left in the tournament and have proved they are not a "Mid-Major."

Do not estimate the Musketeers. They are playing their best basketball right now with everyone playing their roll in both offense and defense. Expect Jordan Crawford to put up similar numbers to the first 2 games of the tournament. Take Xavier in this one.

Play of the Day

Play On: Mississippi State +2.5 (4x)

We like Mississippi here. Some may call us crazy, but we think that Kentucky is very overrated at this point in the season and the Bulldogs are too good at home. The Bulldogs are 12-1 at home and are averaging 16 more points than opponents right now. The Wildcats have shown their lack of experience with their freshman class on the road this year losing at South Carolina. This environment will not be any easier to play in. Take the Bulldogs.

Play of the Day

Play On: Chicago Bulls -2 (4x)

We like the Bulls here. Both teams are struggling, but the Bulls have the talent to overcome their recent losing ways with second year starter Derrick Rose leading them at point. The Warriors have been plagued by injuries and have been put down by their losing ways playing in the stacked Western Conference. As of right now the Bulls are looking at a 7 or 8 seed in the Eastern Conference playoff race. If they are going to have a shot at even that, they need to beat weaker teams such as the Warriors. Take the Bulls here.
