With Gilbert Arenas out indefinitely and the Wizards struggling as a team, the Magic should have no problem putting them away early. Xavier is coming off a touch 2OT loss against a very good Deacon Demon team. Freshman Mark Lyons will sit out at least the next 2 to 3 games with a very minor injury. Although the team will be without one of their key players, this game should fall into their hands. This game is very important to Xavier in terms of A10 play and overall play. If they want a chance to make the tournament in March they will need to prove themselves by winning a majority of their remaining games starting tonight.

NFL Playoff Pick

Play On: Green Bay vs Arizona Under 47.5

For a number of different reasons I believe we're getting decent value on the "under" in this situation:

The Packers, seeded fifth in the six-team NFC bracket, enter the playoffs on a roll, winners of seven of their last eight games to finish 11-5.

Last week Green Bay limited the Cardinals had a grand total of 48 yards, the fewest allowed by the league's No. 1 run defense. Their lone explosive run was 17 yards by Beanie Wells late in the game.

While that was mostly due to Arizona having benches most of its starters, its interesting to point out that the total has in fact gone "under" the posted number in four of Green Bay's last six overall and in four of its last six on the road.

On the other side of the field: Anquan Boldin suffered a sprained left ankle in the third quarter; Boldin was sore Monday morning and was scheduled to undergo an MRI.

Right defensive end Calais Campbell suffered a fractured left thumb, but is expected to play. He likely will wear a cast, which will limit his ability to grab offensive linemen.

CB Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie suffered a contusion on his left kneecap on the third play of the game. He reported improvement on Monday and is expected to play Sunday.

Remember, the total has gone "under" the posted number in six of Arizona's last seven overall and in six of its last eight at home.

I don’t think Notre Dame should be favored in this spot. The Irish are coming off their first true road game of the season at Connecticut and it was not a good result as they lost by 12 points to move to 1-1 in the Big East so far this year. They are 12-3 overall but this has come by way of playing a schedule ranked 316th in the nation. They have a big advantage down low with Big East Preseason Player of the Year Luke Harangody as he is averaging 24.2 ppg and 10.1 rpg. He could have a very big game here as the Bulls are not a big team with the loss of Augustus Gilchrist but that does not lead to a definite as he put up 31 points against the Huskies, over 44 percent of the total points, and it still resulted in a loss. This game will be won up top and while the guard play of Notre Dame has been solid, a lot of that was due to the schedule already played.
